Stronger when working together
Working towards the transition to a circular, green and sustainable EU economy is not easy. Efforts need to be co-ordinated, and that is why we have compiled the list below of groups, forums and networks related to renewable energy, sustainability, waste management, biofuels, sustainable energy systems so we can work together and maximise our impact.
COST provides networking opportunities for researchers and innovators in order to strengthen Europe’s capacity to address scientific, technological and societal challenges by fostering interdisciplinary research for breakthrough science.
RE4Industry is a collection of networks, groups, clusters and committees, at national and EU levels, with an aim to facilitate the transition of energy intensive industries to renewable energy sources.
European Technology and Innovation Platforms (ETIPs) are industry-led stakeholder fora recognised by the European Commission as key actors in driving innovation, knowledge transfer and European competitiveness in the energy sector.
The World Bioenergy Association (WBA) is the voice of the international bioenergy community. Our mission is to promote the sustainable development of bioenergy globally and to support the business environment for bioenergy.
By joining forces, we want to facilitate the exploitation of flexibilities in the energy system and contribute to a more sustainable power supply based on renewable energy sources and an increasing electrification of the heating and transport sector. Exchanging knowledge is inevitable for this goal. The establishment of a Flex-Community lays the foundation for knowledge transfer and a target-oriented networking.
